Art

The theme of our art class is “It’s the Process not the Product.” Art is a subject that is often left out of a child’s education, whether it is because of budget, lack of understanding, or fear of making a mess. Our art class this fall will focus on the elements of design. Children need a foundation in the elements in order to better understand historical artwork and in order to create art works of their own. We will be using historical masterpieces as well as children’s literature to study these elements. Once an understanding is gained the children will use what they have learned to create a project of their own.
